These conferences brought together 120 professionals in the health, social and medico-social sectors (Physicians and allied health professionals, facility directors, lawyers, psychologists and Moroccan, French and Tunisian user and caregiver associations) working with the elderly.

Management of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias was the main theme of the meetings. The discussions were informative as to the mutual representations that remain regarding the practices and family involvement from one country to another.

These intercultural exchanges and the comparison of medical, psychosocial, legal and policy approaches throughout these two days helped advance the idea that the management of Alzheimer’s disease is a real public health issue.
