Emploi des personnes handicapées, le rôle du secteur public en tant qu’employeur : perspectives européennes The first research seminar organised within the framework of a research programme on vocational integration, support and job retention of people with disabilities in the public sector was held on 28 and 29 November 2013, in Paris at the MSSH.

This is the result of a partnership between the EHESP and Fonds d’Insertion des Personnes Handicapées dans la Fonction Publique (FIPHFP) – Fund for the Integration of people with disabilities in the public sector. The seminar was entitled “Employment of people with disabilities: the role of the public sector as an employer – European Perspectives”.

18 participants from 11 European countries namely: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France , Hungary, Netherlands, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden met to take a look in a cross-disciplinary manner on employment policies and focus on the role of the public sector as an employer.

The next meeting will take place in 2014 to refine the issues raised and offer a comparative analysis.
