LERES is the chemical analysis and microbiological technology laboratory of the EHESP. Its team of experts have analysis, research and teaching roles :

• Analysis. The laboratory was accredited by COFRAC in 2000 and approved for monitoring the quality of water and sewerage by the ministries responsible for the health and the environment.
• Research. The laboratory is part of the Life-Agro-Health PhD centre of Rennes 1 University and the Agrocampus Ouest and in this capacity takes Master and PhD students.
• Teaching. It provides lecturers within EGERIES.

It has 4 lecturers (including 3 qualified to supervise theses), 12 engineers (including 2 doctors), 20 technicians (including 5 samplers), 9 support staff and 4 PhD students.

It has a turnover of €2M.
