Set up a higher education syllabus in the very near future open to nurses and other paramedical professions
- Set up a Nursing and Paramedical Sciences Master with at least 50 students per year with, progressively, more second year Masters options.
- Establish close relationships (agreements) with the various management schools to enable students to benefit from funding from their original establishment.
- Enable at least one student per year to submit (from December 2008) a Public Health thesis.
- Be ready to organise professional development courses for Directors of care services.
Be active and visible at national and international level
- Take an active role in implementing university style education for training paramedics and in setting up “new own roles” and “delegated activities” or “advanced practices” for nurses.
- Be active at international level being one of the centres collaborating with WHO in this field.
- Be active at international level as a member of the European Academy of Nursing Science (EANS), host this academy in 2012 and take part in the work of the International Council of Nurses (ICN).
- Take part in the accreditation of the EHESP by the Council on Education for Public Heath (CEPH).
Initiate and take part in research
- Over the period of the contract, set up a team responsible to apply for funding to create a nursing research centre and set all the resources required to enable PhD students and lecturers to work in conditions conducive to higher quality research on at least one of the four themes presented.
- Continue the work of the ORIG in collaboration with Charles Foix hospital and INSERM unit 707.
- Obtain research contracts (public and private funding) and draw up referenced articles.
- Allow for and make preparations for opening one or two other fellowships.
