From 1 to 4 November 2017, the EPH Conference gathered more than 2,000 international participants in Stockholm (Sweden) including around forty from France. Some of the conferences, seminaries and workshops were conducted by professors, researchers and PhD students from the EHESP School of Public Health.

During four days, the 10th EPH Conference gathered several international researchers, policy makers and practitioners in Sweden around the theme “Sustaining resilient and healthy communities”. Five teachers and two PhD students from the EHESP School of Public Health attended the plenary programme and also participated in workshops and seminaries, introducing part of their research on the following topics:
- The added value of transnational public health training: lessons from three initiatives by William Sherlaw, Régine Ducos and Olivier Grimaud
- Theory and practice of a local capacity building programme to promote health by Eric Breton
- Social inequalities by Eric Breton
- Participation as a means or an end within HTA and ICT : lessons from a disability studies approach by William Sherlaw
- Trends in access to stroke units and early case fatality in France 2009-2014 by Olivier Grimaud
- Health in all policies and urban green spaces : baseline study of GREENH – City project by Marion Porcherie
Kathy McColl and NorianeSouleymane-Cognez, both PhD students of the Public Health Doctoral Network coordinated by EHESP, gave a presentation entitled “Transnational ethical comparison – a dynamic learning opportunity”. This research will provide the grounds for a training seminary for PhD students and the whole public health community.
The next EHP Conferences will be held in Ljubljana (Slovenia) from 28 November to 1 December 2018, then in Marseille (France) from 20 to 23 November 2019. The EHESP School of Public Health encourages its teachers, researchers and PhD students to present their work at these European meetings, which provide an opportunity for rich exchanges with an international community of professionals.
