This course is aimed at successful candidates in the internal and external competitive examinations, those subject to selective promotion, as well as persons under secondment.

Course

Duration: 6 to 15 months depending on the method of recruitment

The course aims to teach students how to:

  • Master regulatory tools and challenges
  • Plan and manage projects
  • Produce and process information
  • Outline and implement management techniques
  • Gain more in-depth understanding of the health and social welfare sector

Eligibility

Internal competitive examination

Aimed at civil servants with four years experience including at least 2 years in a category B administration or equivalent. The examinations are also open to officials with proof of at least 4 years experience with the welfare related division of an international intergovernmental organisation.

External competitive examination

The examination is open to candidates with a degree .

Job

Status: category A executive

Members of the health and welfare service inspection administration are responsible, under the authority of regional and département (county) health and welfare directors, for implementing the state’s health, care and welfare policies and support, where needed, the implementation of the policies of regional health authorities. They are responsible for:

  • Inspecting health, welfare and care establishments,
  • Organisation, regulation and allocation of resources for these establishments,
  • Manage, promote and monitor systems of public health, social integration, social inclusion and social development,
  • Evaluate public policy,
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and look after the running of social protection bodies,
  • Promote interdepartmental policies
