I worked 3 years at the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS) in order to develop a French expertise on reference doses/ concentrations in health risk assessment. This expertise was needed following the publication of a French regulation on the preservation of air quality (loi sur l'air et l'utilisation rationnelle de l'énergie) and the obligation to study environmental and health impact of industrial projects.

Then, I joined the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety in order to develop this expertise and support the French Ministries (Health and Environment) in the implementation of regulations on chemicals in consumer products and helaht risks due to environmental exposures.

Research

Since 2008, I joined the EHESP-school of public health to implement research projects related to exposure and health risks asessment due to multiple exposure, especially during the period of high vulnerability (pregnant women, neonates, infants). These projects are carried out at the French Institute for Environmental and Occupational Health (IRSET), INSERM 1085.

First projects focuses on the derivation of cumulative toxicity indicators for semi-volatile organic compounds (pesticides, flame retardant, plasticizers) in French dwellings and compatible with children exposure.

Second projects focuses on the application of high-throughput techniques (metabolomics) for studying environmental health in pregnant woman (pesticide exposure).

Expertise

I participate in the expertise of the ANSES Agency, in particular for health risk assessment of environmental contaminants and guideline values (i.e. "Indoor air quality guideline" working group).

Courses

My field of teaching is the toxicology (basic knowledge, applications in public health, surveillance, biomonitoring, regulations, risk assesssment), for the civil service executive degree students (IES, IGS) and master's degree students (MPH, EHESP, public health and environmental risks, EHESP, Paris5 & 11, Lorraine Univ., ), molecular and cellular life sciences, Rennes Univ.).
