Enacted by the Ministry of Transformation and the Civil Service in 2021, Talent Preparation Classes for the Public Service are aimed at students selected by means-testing and on merit who wish to prepare for the competitive entrance exams for the civil service. EHESP fully supports this initiative and offers a Talents Preparation programme to train grant-holding students and job seekers for the four category A external competitive exams for admission to the civil service:
- Hospital Director (DH)
- Healthcare, Social and Medical-social Institutions Director (DESSMS)
- Health and Social Action Inspector (IASS)
- Hospital Administration Officer (AAH)
The Talents Preparation Class replaces the previous Integrated Preparation Class (CPI) introduced in 2009 as part of the charter for equal opportunities in the civil service. While the aim remains similar – facilitating access to public sector employment and promoting talent and merit –, the initiative is building new momentum by increasing the number of preparation students accepted and establishing new partnerships with
- higher education institutions: IPAG and Sciences Po Rennes, to broaden the learning opportunities
- civil society organisations: La Cordée and Des Territoires aux Grandes Écoles to raise awareness and assist future civil service talents to move forward in their careers.
At the start of the 2025-2026 academic year, 30 students will attend the 8 month course at the EHESP. Accommodation and catering facilities will be available free of charge on site.
