Since 2017, EHESP has been committed to continuously improving its human resources strategy concerning the recruitment and working conditions of researchers. The School has developed a proactive approach, based on feedback from the scientific community and the assets of the University of Rennes, enabling it to experiment with new initiatives to improve support and guidance for researchers. Following a hearing by the European Commission at the end of 2025, EHESP obtained the renewal of its ‘HR Excellence in Research’  certification until the end of 2028.

The governance system in place was considered to be robust, enabling the deployment of a strategy recognised as a lever for the continuous improvement of researchers’ working conditions and the professionalisation of research within the institution. The survey conducted every three years among the scientific community is an important tool for informing this strategy and measuring the effectiveness of the actions implemented.

The auditors also noted the high level of ambition and the significant efforts that have been made, particularly in terms of equality and integrity. Innovative initiatives were praised, as well as certain projects that remain to be pursued in the areas of open science, internationalisation and access to European Union funding for excellence.
