Faced with the devastating effects on the health of populations of the war currently raging in Ukraine, the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER) published a statement on March 1, 2022 strongly condemning this military action and announcing the creation of a task force dedicated to the implementation of public health actions related to the prevention, preparedness and response to armed conflicts.

Deeply attached to the principles set out in this statement and in solidarity with the Ukrainian people, the EHESP – through the voice of its dean Laurent Chambaud, an active member of the ASPHER – joins this working group pursuing the objective of supporting the civil society in war situation. EHESP will contribute through its expertise and join its skills to those of other European schools of public health members of that network, in particular those of the countries bordering Ukraine.
