Long-stay Visiting Professor Programme in 2024

As part of the HRS4R Label and its internationalisation policy, EHESP School of Public Health is launching a long-stay visiting professor program that aims to support the reception of foreign lecturers in EHESP departments or laboratories over a period of 1 to 6 months.

Visiting professors are chosen from among French or foreign nationals who teach or conduct research at a foreign higher education or research institution.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Every year, the EHESP School of Public Health welcomes international students in numerous training sessions, exchange programmes and international placements.

Degree/diploma programmes – Individual mobility

The EHESP School of Public Health offers degree/diploma programs open to international students in the field of public health with matching curricula, and courses taught in French or in English.

Registration process

You would like to apply for a degree/diploma programme at the EHESP School of Public Health and you wish to find out more about the French university system, the level of language skills needed, please go to the registration process page.

In about 60 countries, there is an online application procedure. If you live in a country using the Campus France/CEF online procedure, you have to use this, in parallel, in order to obtain a student visa (more information on France Diplomatie website). 

If you don’t live in one of those countries, please contact the Student Affairs Department.

Erasmus + Exchange Programme

Students from partner institutions seeking to participate in an exchange programme must complete an application. Once the completed application has been received, and it has been confirmed that the candidates meet the programme’s criteria, they will receive their acceptance letter.

The Master of Public Health is open to Erasmus + mobility. Prepare your application by studying the possibilities of master 1 and master 2 courses, taking into account the dates and number of ECTS credits.

The applications should be sent back:

  • March 30 th for a mobility during the first semester (end of August)
  • November 15 th for a mobility during the second semester (January)

To apply for an Erasmus grant or for more information, please contact the International Mobility Centre.

Placement in France

As a foreign student and as part of partnership framework agreements or Erasmus + agreements signed between the EHESP School of Public Health and its partners, you have the possibility to:

  • Undertake a placement within the EHESP School of Public Health. Please contact the teaching department you are interested in and/or the International Mobility Centre.
    If you are attached to an Erasmus university partnering the EHESP School of Public Health, you may be able to complete this placement as part of an Erasmus exchange. Please contact the international relations department of your university in the first instance.
  • Receive help from the EHESP School of Public Health in finding a placement in a hospital or health care institution in France.

To help you finance your studies at the EHESP School of Public Health, you will find financing sources and potential grants offered by third-party bodies in the grant database on the Campus France website.

INTERNATIONAL LECTURERS-RESEARCHERS AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

The EHESP school of Public Health welcomes international lecturers and researchers into its training courses and research activities.

 

EXCHANGES AS PART OF ERASMUS + PROGRAMME

All Erasmus exchanges must take place as part of a prior bilateral agreement between your university and the host institutions.
These teaching missions are done within the following framework:

  • the lecturer-researcher has to teach for at least 8 hours per week in a training programme at the partner institution
  • the grant is awarded by the lecturer or researcher’s institution

Administrative staff also have the opportunity to participate in an international training (job shadowing or study visit).

If you wish to apply for an Erasmus grant, please contact the International Relations Department of your institution and the EHESP School of Public Health teaching department that correspond to your area of expertise.

HOSTING ERASMUS MUNDUS GUEST PROFESSORS LECTURERS

As part of the Europubhealth+ Master, the EHESP school of Public Health welcomes each year well-known guest professors and lecturers who are recipients of Erasmus Mundus grants. These professors lead workshops and round tables, and participate in the « Building innovative and sustainable solutions to global health challenges » integration module.

EHESP is a member of the International Mobility Centre (CMI), which provides services to international students, doctoral students and researchers concerned by mobility on EHESP’s Rennes site.

The missions of the IMC are the following :

  • Welcoming international students (residence permit, social security, taxes, CAF, bank, accommodation, etc.)
  • Welcoming international doctoral students
  • Welcoming international researchers
  • Development of international mobility for Rennes students
  • Communication and events related to mobility

Erasmus Student Network (ESN)

Student associations from Erasmus Student Network (ESN) located in both Rennes and Paris, organise events for international students to help them to get used to the life in France and make the meetings with local students easier.

They developed the Buddy System, which matches up French and international students. Meet a local student who will help you feel like home by chatting, showing you around the city, going out, cooking… everything is possible!

Accommodation in Rennes

The Centre régional des oeuvres universitaires et scolaires (CROUS) handles student halls and some student grants.

Accomodation in Paris

The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP) offers rooms in student halls. Be careful, there are limited number of places. Fill your application the soonest you can.

EHESP School of Public Health works in partnership with Studapart, which may help you to find an accomodation near the campus.

The Rennes International Centre for the Study of French as a Foreign Language (CIREFE) offers several options to learn French: bi-annual Courses, Language Support Classes, Summer Courses and Summer University. Located on Rennes 2 University campus, the centre is located opposite to the EHESP.
