The international opening of EHESP School of Public Health is built on three priorities:
Priority 1: Put internationalization at the heart of the training experience of our community
Graduation ceremony (Master of Public Health)
EHESP welcomes international students in all its courses and in particular in the following masters:
- Master’s Degree in Public Health: Master’s Degree in Public Health taught in French and including 12 choices of specialization
- Master’s Degree in Health Administration: Master’s Degree in Health Administration taught in French and including 3 choices of specialization
- Master of Public Health (MPH) : master of public health taught in English in Paris, the only one in
France
- European Public Health Master (Europubhealth+) : Erasmus+ programme in public health delivered in partnership with 7 European universities
At the same time, EHESP develops the intercultural skills of its teachers, students and administrative staff, by developing support tools for all and by promoting international mobility through privileged and long-lasting international partnerships. EHESP thus offers its students the opportunity to carry out international internships in about thirty countries in Europe and around the world.
On a reciprocal basis, professors from many foreign universities are invited to participate in our courses. EHESP also pays particular attention to its international students, as evidenced by the award of the “Welcome to France” label.
Priority 2: Develop our activity of international technical expertise in our fields of differentiation
For more than 30 years, EHESP has been sharing its skills with international partners within the framework of cooperation programs conducted jointly by EHESP experts and professors, and local institutional partners, particularly on the African continent, in a spirit of co-construction.
EHESP supports its international partners in setting up short or long training courses for health and social personnel, adapted to the needs and context of the country. The School also conducts expertise missions abroad in its fields of expertise.
Priority 3: Refine our policy of international partnerships for the international production of knowledge
Scientific conference of the doctoral network 2016
EHESP is increasing its contribution to international public health research through its doctoral network, the conduct of research projects with multinational teams, publications (the Presses de l’EHESP) and the organization of international colloquia. Accredited since 2008 as an interdisciplinary doctoral network in public health, and in partnership with 11 French higher education institutions, EHESP encourages applications from foreign doctoral students and develops international co-supervision of theses. Each year, the doctoral network organizes scientific meetings bringing together doctoral students, professors and international guests.
EHESP researchers regularly publish books and articles in international peer-reviewed journals. They present papers on the results of their research at international conferences and symposia.
EHESP is strengthening its position with international organizations by contributing to the projects and work of the European Commission’s Directorates General for Health, Education and Research and Innovation.
