Initial training
This 12-month training programme includes both theoretical learning and practical work placements. The training cycle is assessed by a board. It is structured into teaching units for the theoretical part, corresponding to the main sectors of activity that future Hospital Administration Officers ( will need to be familiar with. The delivery of these various sequences is ensured by the EHESP for the theoretical training. A professional immersion lasting approximately 4 months, with two work placements carried out in the same public health institution, completes this initial training.
Role
Reporting to the Director, the Hospital Administration Officer is involved in the design, formulation and implementation of decisions made in the administration, financial, economics, health, social and medical-social fields. They can be asked to perform missions, studies or duties and responsibilities in the following areas:
- admissions and relations with users,
- human resources management,
- purchasing and public tender management,
- financial management and management control,
- property and land management;
- internal and external communications;
- legal advise.
The Hospital Administration Officer may be called to perform general and interdisciplinary functions such as:
- managing an office,
- managing a department,
- managing projects,
- the delegated management of a facility attached to a multi-site hospital complex.
They perform their functions in institutions mentioned in Article 2 of the Law of 9 January 1986.
